How to describe your game (Notes)

Do you have several views but few downloads ?
It could be for "description of your game" (Notes)

On several website (like indiexpo), you have only few characters to describe your game and this for two reasons:
1. To improve the SEO (Search engine optimization), a methodology of strategies, techniques and tactics used to increase the amount of visitors to your Game Page  by obtaining a high-ranking placement in the search results page of a search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc).
2. Because the users want to know what there is in your game fastly. He didn't want to read all the features and scroll a long page. He wants a text fast and easy to read.

So ... What shall I put ? First of all... We can start to see what you shouldn't write.
It's not important and necessary to add the kind, the weight, the operation system, the language, etc. And the reason is very easy: those informations are already indicated in your page (on the left) and it's not important to repeat them.
Don't repeat the title of the game and the author.
Don't put links! They are very long and you can use the form ("Website Link") to put the main link. Few users want to left the main website and jump site by site.
Don't do it.

But... What i can write ?
Describe what's the strength of your game !
Did you make a RPG with an amazing plot ? Good : describe plot.
Did you make a puzzle game with an amazing multiplayer system? Good : describe this system.
Capture the attention of the gamers.

Reply to the most important question: "why a player should play my game and not other games posted on the website?"

Tell us about this in a very easy and fast way and the views of your game page will become downloads :)

Albert Einstein said "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough".

Now you can open your Game Page and read your game's description. See if it's right. On indiexpo, you can click "edit" and improve it.

P.s. you can also use the hashtags and remember to add also keywords in the description because they will be found through the Search of indiexpo
