Exploring the Intergalactic Community in Infinite Stars

Infinite Stars is a visual novel that offers players an exciting and thought-provoking science fiction experience set in a distant future where humanity has finally united and joined the larger intergalactic community. The game draws inspiration from classic stories like Dune, Star Trek, and The Expanse, and combines elements of adventure, politics, and intrigue to create a captivating narrative that will keep players engaged from start to finish.

In Infinite Stars, players take on the role of a member of the Terran Protectorate, a human organization tasked with representing humanity's interests within the United Interstellar Concordat. The game begins with the arrival of the Cephilusk convoys, who have come to construct the Sol Gate, a massive intergalactic portal that will allow humanity to join the UIC.

However, the discovery of the Cephilusk and the construction of the Sol Gate sparks a brief and bloody war between humanity and the Cephilusk, with the Terran Protectorate resorting to guerilla warfare in order to sabotage construction attempts and raid supply convoys.

Eventually, a peace is brokered and official channels of communication are opened, allowing humanity to learn more about the Cephilusk and the other species that make up the UIC. The game follows the efforts of the Terran Protectorate to petition for membership in the UIC, and the challenges they face as they work to convince other species to accept them as equal members of the intergalactic community.

One of the standout features of Infinite Stars is its rich and immersive world-building. The game does an excellent job of introducing players to the various species that make up the UIC, and the complex political landscape that governs their interactions. The plot is well-paced and full of twists and turns, and the characters are well-written and engaging, each with their own motivations and goals.

The visual presentation of the game is top-notch, with beautiful hand-drawn artwork and a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate through the various branching storylines.

The music and sound effects also add to the overall atmosphere of the visual novel, enhancing the sense of immersion and making the player feel like they are truly part of this futuristic world.

It is developed by a small team using Renpy, a free and open-source visual novel engine for creating interactive fiction games with a simple and intuitive interface for creating visual novels, used by amateur and professional game developers alike and has a large and active community of users.

This visual novel has now over 1000 players and it is playable online! No downloads!

Overall, Infinite Stars is a must-play for fans of science fiction and visual novels. Its engaging plot, rich world-building, and excellent presentation make it an enjoyable and memorable experience that will leave players wanting more. Whether you're a seasoned visual novel player or a newcomer to the genre, Infinite Stars is an experience that you won't want to miss.
